New post every Sunday

It's the end of another month, so that means that I am back with yet another favourites post!

The first product I have been loving is the Comforter shower cream from Lush. I know, I know I'm a bit late to jump on the bandwagon with this one, but I have actually had this from when it first got released but I've only just got around to using it! Anyway, this is literally the comforter in a bottle. I was really surprised at how similar the scent was to the original bubble bar as sometimes scents can be a little different but Lush have got this one bang on! It lathers up really nicely and little goes a long way with this so it's going to last you a really long time. The scent is really super powerful so overall, I'm completely in love with this product - the only slight complaint I have about it is the fact that it's quite liquid-y compared to the regular gel formula.

Next up, we have the Spectrum A10 Small Fan brush. I ordered this brush at the start of the month and I have been completely obsessed. It's part of the pink collection so it has the classic pink handle and blue dip-dyed brush. Even though it's name is "small" fan, I find it's the perfect size, in fact, if it was any bigger I think it may be a bit too big! I'm not going to go into great depths on this product because I am doing a review on Wednesday but I thought I'd throw it into the mix anyway just because it is so good!

A product that I ramble on quite a lot about is the NYX hot singles eyeshadows. This month I have been really enjoying just lightly dusting the shade Velvet across my lid for a little wash of colour which I think is really nice in a glowy, bronze summery look. Velvet is a true brown with warm-ish undertones and a slight shimmer to it. Also, for a slightly more dramatic look I have been adding a bit of Smashbox's Roast into the outer corner and blending it up into the crease. Going back to the actual shadow, I am loving everything about it from the formula to the shade - it's completely and utterly perfect!

A skincare product that has been a complete lifesaver right now is the Garnier Moisture Bomb hydrating mist. Because it's been so hot recently, I'm been giving my face a quick mist of this every morning as it has SPF 30 in it so it helps protect my skin from the sun. It also really helps that this is super moisturising so I don't have to apply this and then a separate moisturiser afterwards. I know with a lot of high SPF face products sit well on the skin without make up but aren't so great when you've got make up on top but this is completely fine with make up on top. In fact, I'd say it makes make up sit better on my face!

An instagram/blog that I have been loving is yet again @lifeastillyrose / www.lifeastillyrose.co.uk , so hop on over to Tilly's blog and instagram and have a lil' look around!

I hope you all enjoyed this post, thank you so much for reading, and I will see you all again very soon,

I picked up these little beauties at the start of May and I still cannot get over how perfect they both are!

First of I'll have a lil' ramble about the actual highlight. It is the NYX illuminating powder in the shade 04 - Ritualistic. I had seen this a few times on Instagram but whenever I went in store, it was always old out! But one time, whilst browsing through my NYX stand I spotted it and I was the very last one and I was so happy because I had been looking for months! This shade is a mainly white highlight but it has warm undertones and the shade is really unique so I knew I just HAD to have it!

The pigmentation of this is insane! You can either apply this with a highlighting brush (either fan or regular) or your finger - using your finger create a much more concentrated, shocking highlight whereas using a brush create a more natural, glowy look. It lasts all day and doesn't dissolve into pure glitter like some of the other high street highlights.

I think using this brush has majorly contributed to how much I love the highlight. This is the Spectrum A10 Small Fan Brush. (I know it's called small fan but it's actually the perfect size! If it was any bigger, it would too big!). This brush was £4.99 but I ordered it on the last day to use their birthday month promo so I got 20% meaning it was only £4! The shipping was £3.99 for standard and even though I got mine after a bank holiday (It was ordered on Saturday night and was delivered on the following Friday morning).

Anyway, this brush is perfect. It lightly dusts on highlight - not to much and not too little. The brush itself is really soft (even softer than the Real Techniques brushes - I know, crazy right?!). It's just the perfect brush - I've got nothing bad to say about it at all! I ended up ordering from Spectrum because I found there wasn't really any high street brands selling good quality fan brushes so I thought I'd look online instead! Because I ordered online I was quite sceptical as to the size, quality, etc. but I was really pleasantly surprised and I will 100% be ordering from Spectrum again!

I hope you all enjoyed this post, thank you so much for reading, and I will see you all again very soon,

I spotted these little beauties whilst scrolling down Pinterest and I couldn't not share the recipe with you! (Recipe and images courtesy of www.anniesnoms.com)

Ingredients:
170g unsalted butter (at room temperature)
210g plain flour
1 tbsp. cornflour
4 tbsp. icing sugar
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
2 or 3 tbsp. of "funfetti" (Hundreds and Thousands)
2 tbsp. milk

Place a piece of grease proof paper into an 8x8 inch square pan and leave to one side.

Place butter, flours, sugar, salt and vanilla into a large bowl, or the bowl of your stand mixer and beat on medium-high speed until you have a crumbly mixture which is just starting to come together. The butter will be pea sized, although some larger lumps are fine.

Add in the funfetti and 1 tbsp of milk, then mix until well combined. Add in another 1 tbsp of milk and then mix until a soft dough forms.

Tip the dough into your lined pan and press into a level layer. Use your hands or the base of a glass/cup.

Place in the fridge for 10-15 minutes. Whilst chilling, preheat the oven to 160C/325F and line 2 baking trays.

Once chilled, lift out the dough from the square pan and place on a cutting board. Either with a knife, or pizza cutter (I used a pizza cutter), slice into bite size pieces. My pieces were around 1/2 an inch-3/4 inch thick. I made around 64 bites. You can make them however big or small you want.

Separate all the shortbread bites and then place them onto your lined trays, leaving a little gap between each one.

Place in the oven for 12-17 minutes (depending on how big they are) until they look matte when the light from the oven hits them. If they look a little dark/soggy in the light, they're are not done.

You don't want them to be golden or coloured in anyway, just slightly firm to the touch and matte.

Leave to cool on the trays completely, before transferring to an airtight container. Funfetti Shortbread Bites will keep at room temperature for 5 days.

So, I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you recreate the recipe and I will see you all very soon,

I picked this up in the sale a few weeks ago in my local body shop and I was so surprised they still had this scent left because this is probably THE most popular Christmas scent of all time! So, today I'm going be doing a little review for you all.

When I first saw this on the shelf I didn't really know what it was so that drew me to it straight away. This is such a unique product so that created an immediate interest in this. Basically, it's a bubble bath that you  scoop a bit out of and put it under running water (lil' tip - make sure the water is pretty hot so it makes more bubbles!). Even though this was from the Christmas collection, I wouldn't necessarily it's a winter exclusive scent because it has got that sweet, fruity side to it as well as the slightly spicy scent!

I find that this makes quite a lot of bubbles (more than your average Joe bubble bath) but it's still not quite as bubbly as the Lush bubble bars (but I don't think anything will ever compare). I love this product as it feels quite moisturising and I don't need to use a moisturiser after this as my skin feels pretty soft. Also, little goes a LONG way with this. one small scoop makes so many bubbles which is nice because you know it's going to last a long time! One bit I don't like about this, is the scent is pretty weak in the bubbles. This was pretty disappointing as in the tub the scent is really strong but the bubbles don't hold much scent. :(

I picked this up in the sale so I'm not really sure how much it normally is at Christmas but I picked it up for just £6 which I think is pretty good bearing in mind how much you use each time so how long it will last!

I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you so much for reading, and I will see you very soon,

I always get a lot of questions in Q and A's asking me how I stay motivated to write blog posts and I normally give a pretty short answer so today I'm going into the nitty gritty of it!

The short answer to this question when I get asked it is I honestly don't know. Blogging is such a nice and you either love it or you find it a chore. I feel as though I don't fit into either category. 99% of the time I absolutely love blogging and I love seeing your positive comments in reply to my posts. However, there is still that other 1% when I realise it's Monday night at 5pm and I realise I still haven't written that nights blog post!

The main thing that keeps me blogging is you lovely lot. When I first started blogging it would be really disappointing to have spent hours on posts and them get 5-10 views.  If you're in that situation right now, don't worry about it, this happened to me for about a year before my views increased pretty rapidly. However now, there is a lot more of you viewing my posts and it's so lovely to see the number of views increase on a post. The fact that you guys take the time out of your day to read my posts is what makes me improve my writing, my photography and just my blog in general!

Another thing that keeps me motivated is other peoples success. At the moment in the blogosphere a lot of people are doing really well from blogging and that's what makes me strive to be a better blogger myself. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying I'm trying to be the next Zoella but even smaller achievements like 1000 followers makes me keep pushing on to my next goal.

Linking back to the last point, set yourself goals. Now these don't have to be huge goals, make them realistic. For example if you have 300 followers don't expect to be getting thousands of views by the end of the year. I set myself some reasonable goals this year so click right here to be taking to my post about those!

I hope this post helped you and gave you some good advice. Thank you so much for reading and I will see you all very soon,

I have loved this liquid lipstick for a long time but I've never got around to doing a review so that's exactly what I'm going to do today!

I love everything about this, especially the formula. It's formula is pretty comparable to that of the NYX soft matte lip creams as they both have that buttery feel on the lips. It's really pigmented and doesn't flake of the lips like I find the Barry M matte me up's do a little bit. I love this formula and I would definitely love to buy some more of these

This picture doesn't do the shade any justice and makes it appear quite red toned but it is 100% a peachy pink tone. However, it's not one of those pinks that you can only wear in summer as it's really bright, it's more of a subtle, all year round pink (that probably makes no sense at all! I'm rubbish at describing colours). Also, if you want a glossier lip just add a little bit of lip balm over the top and it kind of turns into a more coral-y toned shade which is really nice for a bit of colour in summer.

But most of all, the thing that makes me LOVE this liquid lipstick is the longevity! It lasts all day and only needs a little touch up after eating but lasts perfectly through drinking. It sits really nicely on the lips and doesn't feel heavy - I honestly feels like you have nothing on your lips!

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you very soon,
