Budget Beauty : Skincare

by - October 03, 2016

Hey everyone,

Today I am starting a 4 part series that will go up every week on budget beauty products. I thought this would be really helpful for those of you who are on a budget as I will share with you which products are the best for your budget. Today I am going to be sharing with you the budget skincare bits that I absolutely love. I hope you enjoy this post and I will see you all very, very soon. xxxx

First up, I'm going to talk about Nivea. Nivea is the best drugstore skincare brand that I've ever tried. This is a pretty bold statement but it's so true! They do products for all skin types and they also do a lot of products for skin types that a little bit more unusual that your standard : Dry or Sensitive. My favourite products from them are the Micellar Cleansing Water, Rich Moisturising Day Cream and the Rich Regenerating Night Cream. I use the Micellar cleansing water every morning and night. It melts away the make up but is not at all harsh on your skin. The day cream, I use every morning and unlike some other day creams I doesn't make your face shiny or look greasy. It sinks in very quickly and you can't feel it on your skin which is amazing! I use the night cream most nights (that's if I remember... oops) and it does make your face look greasy but by the time I've woken up you cannot see it at all. I've found that most night creams you can feel on your face which I don't like at all, but this one doesn't so it was a win-win situation for me! The best thing about all of these products is that they are so affordable! The cleansing water is £3.69 , the day cream is £4.09 and the night cream is £4.19.

The next brand I want to talk about is simple. I never used to like the products from simple, but one day I was in Superdrug and saw their quick action spot gel and thought I'd pick it up. After that day, I take back whatever I said about Simple. It was amazing! The spot gel worked really quick and I was really impressed. Now, I am on my second tube of it and I really want to try some more products from simple. Compared to most other spot treatments on the market, this one is so affordable. It retails at £5.49 .

I'm now going to talk about a place that I never thought I'd mention in a skincare post. And that place is Primark. Yes, that's right. Primark!! Currently, I have only tried their cotton pads but if that's anything to go off, the rest of it's going to be amazing! I pay 50p for 120 cotton pads and in other high street stores it's £1.20 for 50, and I can't tell a difference in quality! I have Primark on Snapchat and a few weeks ago, I saw them release their brand new skincare range... and oh my. It was incredible! It had just about everything for just about every skin type. I'll definitely be picking some of that next time I'm near a store!

So, that's it for today folks. I hope you enjoyed this post, and I will see you all very, very soon,

Love Lou
