New post every Sunday

Hey Everyone,

This month seems to have gone so quickly! It feels like only 2 minutes since I was last doing a favourites post! Today, I am going to be sharing with you the things I have been loving through out October! Enjoy! xxx

Soap and Glory Supercat Skinny Liquid Eyeliner

Whilst on my weekend break in Poole I couldn't help but do a little cat eye every now and then. This is one of the best mascaras I have tried for doing a cat eye. The nib is flexible so it really helps you get neat and precise lines. The tip is also really thin (hence supercat skinny) which is one of the main things I look for when searching for a new liquid eyeliner. This one is available at Boots only and retails at £6.50 which is probably one of the most affordable liquid liners out there!

Maybelline The Colossal Go Extreme Volume Mascara

I only started using this mascara about a week ago, but I already love it! It lasts all day and isn't like other mascaras where the fibres rub off during the day leaving you with panda eyes. The formula is really nice and applies really smoothly. This is available at Boots and Superdrug and retails at £6.99

Zoella Beauty Bath Latte

This is probably my favourite bubble bath of all time (and believe me, I've tried a lot). It is part of the of the Sweet Inspirations range so it has the scent of macaroons and sweet almond. It's also enriched with cacao, honey and almond oil so it's really hydrating. You can also use this as a shower gel/cream but I prefer it as a bubble bath. This is also really affordable, it retails online, or in superdrug at £6.

Lush Magic Wand Reusable Bubble Bar

This is possibly my favourite Christmas Bubble Bar ever! It has a really sweet scent that creates loads of bubbles. It turns the water a candy floss pink colour so it's basically my dream bubble bar. A reusable bubble bar is different to a normal bubble barf as you don't break it up and crumble it into your bath. Instead, you pop it under the running water and swirl it around your bath. I get about 20 baths out of this, so it's such value for money as it retails at £5.95

Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this post. I will see you all very, very soon,

Love Lou

Qotp - What were your October Favourites?

Sorry for the lighting in some of the pictures, it was really dark :)

Hey Everyone,

Through out autumn so far, I have loving wearing a copper eye and a semi nude lip! I don't know why but it's literally all I've been wearing. So, today I am going to share with you the make up look I have been loving - enjoy! xxx

First of all, I use my moisturiser which is the Nivea Daily Essentials Rich Moisturising Day Cream. This is for dry and Sensitive skin and makes your skin feel really hydrated without it looking too oily.

Then, I prime my eyes using the Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer. This stuff is honestly amazing and makes your eyeshadow last all day.

On my eyes I have been loving using the Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Screenshot. First of all, I apply nectar - a pale peach shade - all over my lid. This just creates a nude(ish) base for me to work on. I then use the shade Cinnamon Toast on the majority of my lid (excluding the inner corner). This is a shimmery gold/copper shade that I perfect in Autumn / Winter. To create depth, I add a bit of Roast onto the outer corner and blend it up into my crease. To finish off I use the shade Virgin for my Naked Palette in the inner corner and the shade Creep across my lash line to make my lashes seem fuller and darker.

This may surprise you, but for my eyes I'm not going to use my Smashbox Full Exposure! I've found a new mascara and I absolutely love it. It's the Maybelline The Colossal Go Extreme Volume mascara! The wand is quite chunky and rounded and that is what I look for in a mascara so this ticks all the boxes. It makes my lashes look both volumised and lengthened. (Just make sure you apply it right down to the roots to get the volume).

For concealer, I'm going to use the Seventeen Stay Time concealer in Extra Fair under my eyes and Soap and Glory Kick Ass Blur + Brighten Concealer in the shade light on the rest of my face. These two concealers work hand in hand and don't make my face look cakey at all so that's perfect.

To moisturise my lips I'm using the Baby Lips Autumn Collection in Vanilla Cupcake. This smells AMAZING! And Finally, for my lip colour I'm using the Kiko Velvet Mat in 613 which is a gorgeous dark pinky nude.

Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this post.  You can find all then links to the products used below.

Hey everyone,

Over the weekend, I went on a weekend break to Poole and it was lovely! On here, you wouldn't have noticed that I took a break, but if you followed me on instagram you would have noticed the serious lack of posts. Anyway, whilst I was there, I managed to take quite a lot of photos so today I thought I'd share them with you all! I hope you enjoy this post, and I will see you all very, very soon. xxx

Qotp - Seaside or City?

Hey everyone,

This is the last budget beauty post! I can't believe four weeks have last so quickly - it seems like 2 minutes since I did the first one of these! Anyway, today I am going to be sharing with you my favourite affordable scents, I hope you enjoy this post, and I will see you all very, very soon. xxx

My number one place for affordable scents are from Zoella Beauty. I have one from every collection Zoe has released apart from the Christmas range this year. The original collection scent is a really fresh and floral scent perfect for all year round! The Tutti Fruity Collection Spritz is a gorgeous fruity scent that is lovely in Summer. Finally, the Sweet Inspirations scent is my favourite. It has the scent of toasted almonds and macaroons which is every sweet scent lovers dream! The bottle is a good size without being too bulky (it's a 45ml bottle). It's £8 for the bottle which is so affordable compared to some of the high end scents on the market today.

Another brand that is great for affordable scents is Soap and Glory. They do body sprays in all 4 scents and they all come in 2 sizes - 100ml and 250ml. My personal favourite is the original scent because it's really different to any other scents I have. The smaller size retails at £4 and the bigger size retails at £6.50 so this is one of the most reasonably priced body spritz' out.

Thank you so much for reading, and I will see you all very, very soon,

Hey everyone,

It's been quite a long time since I last did a baking post, so today I thought I'd do a Halloween themed one! I hope you enjoy this post, and I will see you all very, very soon! xxxx

Makes 40 :

Prep Time : 40 minutes
Cooking Time : 20 minutes
Cooling Time : 1 hour

You will also need lolly sticks and a 21cm round loose bottomed cake tin

For the cake:

200g of Plain Flour
150g of Light Soft Brown Sugar
1 and 1/2 tsp. of Baking Powder
1 tsp. of Ground Cinnamon
1 tsp. of Ground Ginger
A pinch of Ground Nutmeg
90 ml of Full- Fat Milk
1 Egg
100g of Pumpkin Purée
100g of Unsalted Butter - melted

For the icing :

50g of Butter - softened
100g of Icing Sugar
50g of Cream Cheese

To decorate:

200g of White Chocolate
Edible Gold Glitter

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C/350 degrees Fan/Gas Mark 4. Grease and line the cake tin.

Put the dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Add the milk and egg to the mix, followed by the pumpkin purée and butter. Combine to form a smooth batter, then transfer to the cake time and bake for 20 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

Once cooled, crumble the cake into fine crumbs.

For the icing, in a bowl beat the butter and icing sugar until smooth and light, then fold in the cream cheese. Stir in the cake crumbs until fully mixed.

Roll the mixture into small balls, place on a baking tray and pop them in the fridge for an hour!

Melt the white Chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water - make sure the bottom of the bowl isn't touching the water. Put a skewer or lolly stick into each cake ball and dip into the melted white chocolate, allowing the excess to drop off.

Dip the ball into your desired toppings, then leave to stand until set, and then voila - your cake pops are ready to eat.

If your good at this sort of thing - you could add a few bits of decoration, maybe a skull or a spiders web!

I hope you all enjoyed this post, and I will see you all very, very soon,

Love Lou

Hey everyone,

you guys seem to be really enjoying these budget beauty posts. Today I'm going to be sharing with you my favourite budget bath products. I hope you enjoy this post, and I will see you all very, very soon. xxxx

My number one place for affordable bath products is obviously Lush. I absolutely love Lush and it's up there among my favourite shops. My favourite thing to get from Lush is a bubble bar.

Bubble bars are brightly coloured shapes that you crumble under running water and they make the most gorgeous smelling bubbles ever. My personal favourites and The Comforter, Yuzu and Cocoa, Creamy Candy and Pop in the Bath. The comforter is a sweet/fruity scent that had bergamot oil in to make the bubbles smell like berries. This on is by far my favourite bubble bar and I always make sure to have at least one in my Lush collection :).

Yuzu and Cocoa isn't technically a bubble bar but I thought I'd include it anyway. It's a bubble-roon, which basically means it's a bubble bar shaped into a macroon type shape. This has a chocolate orange-y scent and it perfect for those of us who love a sweet scent!

Creamy Candy is one of the smaller bubble bars, but all good things come in small packages! This is another sweet scent that smells like candyfloss and vanilla - to me this smells quite like snow fairy so that's a bonus!

The final bubble bar - Pop in the Bath - was nearly discontinued but everyone went crazy so Lush decided to bring it back which is so lucky! It's more of a citrus-y scent which is quite different to what I normally go for but I actually really like it!

Recently, Lush released their Christmas Collection so I thought I'd share some of the bits I really want to try from the range!

First of all, is my all time favourite Christmas bubble bar - and that's Candy Mountain. This is pink and white swirled mountain shape. This smells a little like creamy candy as it has the scent of candy floss and vanilla, but some how this smells more Christmassy?!? I don't really know, maybe it's just me!

Another bubble bar that was one of my favourites is Christmas Penguin. This was originally released with the 2014 Christmas collection and I fell in love with it. Last year, it wasn't released and I was really upset about it! Luckily it has been re-released this year, so I'll definitely be stocking up on these!

The final bubble bar that I liked the look of was Ruby Red Slippers. This bubble bar is super glittery and has a floral scent that is incredible!

I feel like if rambled on about Lush for ages... sorry! I was going to add a bit in here about my favourite Lush bath bombs but I thought that would be a little too much Lush talk for one day.. If you want, I could do a separate post completely talking about my favourite Lush bath bombs.. Let me know :)

My other go-to brand for affordable bath products is Zoella Beauty! I love all of Zoe's collections and my favourites are the bubble baths and fizz bars.

The original collection has a really floral and fresh scent that is perfect for Spring and Summer! The only complaint I have about this collection is that the fizz bar is so had to break! I think this is because it's so thick, but I physically cant break it! Although Soak Opera (the bubble bath) is absolutely perfect and creates loads of bubbles!

The Sweet Inspirations collection is pretty new, but it's already my favourite collection! It has the scent of toasted almonds and macaroons which is a sweet scent lovers heaven! I have absolutely no complaints about this collection and my favourite products are Le Fizz (the fizz bar), Bath Latte (bubble bath) and Sugar Dip (bath salts).

I hope you all enjoyed this post, and let me know if you want that post about the Lush bath bombs. I love you all so much and I'll see you all very, very soon,

Hey everyone,

Over the past few months, I have compiled a lost of all the lipsticks I have amazing things about and that I really want to try. I hope you enjoy this post and I hope you find some inspiration if you are looking for a couple of new lipsticks.

The first lipstick I want to try is Sleek's MakeUP Matte Me in Shabby Chic. This is a liquid lipstick in the most gorgeous pink nude shade which I think looks pretty similar to the shade of Kiko Velvet Mat in 613 (swatch of the 613 below). Because all Velvet Mat lipsticks have been discontinued this will be perfect for when mine runs out. This is also a little cheaper than the velvet mat's as this retails at £4.99.

Next up, is the Barry M Super Slick in Mauve it. I can't say no to a pun name ;). This is a dark mauve/berry shade that is perfect for Autumn/Winter. This is just the shade I was looking for and is unlike any other shades I have! This is also really affordable - it retails at £4.99 which is amazing if it's the same quality as the other Barry M lip products!

Another lipstick I have been lusting after is the NYX Butter lipstick in Cotton Candy! It's a lovely pink shade that has a bit of  nude shade to it - I can't quite describe it! This is also so affordable as it retails at £5.50

The next lipstick I have been wanting to try for ages is the Rimmel Kate Moss in 38. This is a gorgeous classic nude colour. I have always looked at classic nudes but I can never find one that looks right or suits my skin colour. This one is at the top of my wishlist - I need to get this really soon!

The final lipstick i'm going to share with you today is the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Matte Lip in Martha Moo. I think this is the most wanted shade of all of Tanya's matte lips. Every time I go online, it's always sold out! Anyway, this is a gorgeous red-y nude. It's so hard to describe, but oh so gorgeous!

I hope you all enjoyed this post, and I will see you all very, very soon,

Love Lou

Qotp - What's on your lipstick wishlist?

Hey everyone,

Welcome back to another budget beauty post! The last one went down quite well, so I hope you enjoy this one just as much. Last week I talked about budget skincare products, this week I am going to be talking about make up! Make up is a real passion of mine so it's always a bargain when you can get great products for great prices! I hope you enjoy this post, and I will see you all very, very soon. xxx

When I first started wearing make up, I absolutely loved Natural Collection, in fact  it was the first brand I ever owned a make up product from - it was the Juicy Lips lip gloss in Raspberry Ripple! I would 100% recommend Natural Collection to any of those of you who are only just starting out in make up. The products all retail at £1.99 which is amazing for the quality that they are!

The affordable drugstore brands that I love are: Tanya Burr Cosmetics, NYX and Maybelline.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics is probably THE best affordable make up brand there is. I have tried the nail varnishes (Bright and Early, Be Bright, Be Happy, Be You), lip glosses (First Date, Aurora and Cotton Cane) and an eyeshadow palette(Hollywood eye palette). the quality of the products is incredible for the price the products are! The nail varnishes only need one coat, the lip glosses are super pigmented and not at all sticky, the eye shadows stay all day - you couldn't ask for more!

NYX is a brand that I only discovered recently, but I have fallen in love with it instantly. The eyshadow palette is probably my most used eyeshadow palette I love it that much. It is a create your own palette with the shades Naked Truth, Sin, Velvet and Over the Taupe. The empty palette was £3.50 and the individual pans were £2.50 so it only cost £13.50 for the whole palette. The other two products I have are Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul and Butter Gloss in Angel Food Cake. These are equally as good and retail at £5 and £5.50.

Maybelline is a long standing drugstore favourite of mine. My favourite products ever from them are the 24 hour Colour Tattoos in 096 Cream Beige and 35 On and On Bronze. These last all day without budging and are some of the most pigmented shadows I own. These come in gel-cream shadow form and apply really nicely. Because they are a cream they look gorgeous as a base or just on their own!

Thank you so much for reading, and I will see you very, very soon,

Love Lou
