New post every Sunday

I've always been a huge fan of L'Oreal skincare, so when I saw these beauts launch I knew I just had to try one! I picked the nourishing cocoa one because what doesn't sound amazing about that?!

So far, I've been really loving this scrub and how it works. You apply it to dry skin and then wet your hands to rub it in. The sugars in it then melt as you rub it in and it leaves this really nice almost serum onto the skin which is like to massage in a little more before I wash it off. The product as a whole just feels really luxurious for a high street product which I really like!

And this scrub is a blend of 3 sugars that all aim to do different things! It's got white sugar to buff away impurities and dead skin, blonde sugar because it's a natural moisturiser and brown sugar as it's rich in minerals to help strengthen the skin's barrier.

It's main aim is to tackle dry patches, which is what really attracted me to it in the first place. I've always had really dry patches on my cheeks on forehead and even after just a few uses, this has got rid of them already which I was really impressed with!

This scent of this stuff is also really nice! It's smells just like chocolate (because of the cocoa), but not in an overpowering way - similar to the Body Shop's chocolate range. I also find that the cocoa gives it this really nice colour that makes it super easy to see where the sugar is on the skin, so you make sure to really melt it away!

I've been using this a few times a week, as it says to, and I've been really impressed with the results. It makes your skin really glowy and moisturised, but not the extent that it looks greasy! This is the first scrub I've tried that's actually moisturised the skin whilst scrubbing it - with my dry skin, I sometimes feel like scrubs are just stripping away the skin and they feel really harsh!

Thank you all so much for your support and I'll see you next week!

My blog has changes a lot over the past three years so I thought it was about time to take a trip down memory lane.

First off, my 3rd ever post - august favourites. Even though I still do this type of post the way I do it is verrryyy different!

I mean, I don't think you can even call it a post!!! I literally give no product info - what was I even doing?! Also, isn't that photography just off the scale great?!

Now let's fast forward to February 2016 when I created "my blogging story"

CLICK ME FOR THE POST!

I stand by some of the things that I said in this post to this day!! I'm so thankful for all of the support you all show me day in day out and I can never thank you all enough! I do cringe a little at this post though because I was just so excited about everything (including my 15 followers!).

Next up is from my old series "Lou's Guide To..."! This series was the first time I really fell in love with blogging so these posts are really special!!

CLICK ME FOR THE POST!

This post is so true! I hit the nail on the head here and I'd only been blogging a couple of months! This is one of about a 10 part series so make sure you go and have a look for the others because there's some cringey ones in there.

That's my first blogging year in a nutshell! Did you also notice the huge lack of spellcheck on those posts! I've really enjoyed writing this post and I've had a right giggle and some of these posts and I hope you have too! I might do another looking at my second year, so let me know if that's something you'd want to see. Thank you all so much for reading and I'll see you all next week!

Back in January, I set myself 4 goals for my blog and instagram! It's been a few months now so I thought I'd check in and see how they're going!

1- 80,000 blog views

I'm making some great headway into this one! I'm currently sat at just under 71,000 so I should definitely reach this by the end of the year!

2- 750 Instagram followers

I've been having quite a few issues with this one... At the start of the year, I was on about 600, I then had tons of people follow me in the following weeks and managed to reach about 670, but in the 3 months or so afterwards my followers have slowly gone back down and I'm back on 596! So, I'm going to try really hard to boost it again!

3- Post on Instagram at least once every 3 days

And this is the cause of my problem in goal number 2. I've been really bad at posting to instagram and my last post was 31st march! So, I;m going to try and get back on it with my instagram game and hopefully we'll see an improvent in engagement and following!

4- Reply to all comments quickly

I've been pretty good at this one and I think all of them are up to date! Lets just hope I can keep it up!!

So, that's all for today! If you never saw my post setting out the goals, click here to have a little read! Thank you all so much for reading, and I'll see you all again next week!

I did this post way back when I first started blogging so I thought it was time for an updated version!

1- Soap & Glory melty talented balm

This stuff is INCREDIBLE! It's a dry skin balm with coconut and almond oils, mango butter and vitamin E. You can use it on your face, lips, hands, feet, hair, knees ,elbows, cuticles, wherever you've got dry skin basically and it works an absolute dream! In the tin, it's a solid oil and then it melts onto the skin! It also smells amazing so that's a major bonus as well!

2- L'Oreal hydra genius

You guys will already know that this is my absolute holy grail moisturiser. It's water based so doesn't feel heavy or sticky on the skin! It also has aloe vera and hyaluronic acid in it so it's really good for balancing out skin texture and colour as well as locking in moisture!

3- Benefit goof proof brow pencil

I've always struggled to find brow products that're the right shade for me as I find that the "blonde" products are either really grey or yellow so tend to look a little bit weird! This, however, suits my shade perfectly (I wear number 3) and just makes doing your brows a whole lot easier. It has two angles you can use to fill and define in separate areas which I really love!

4- Garnier Micellar cleansing water

I think just about everyone has tried this now, but it's just so good! It cuts through make up so easily but still feels like it really cleanses your skin and makes it feel really fresh!

5- L'Oreal baby roll mascara

This mascara is my absolute favourite - I just cannot get enough of it! It makes your lashes super fluttery and long but still holds a degree of natural-ness (is that even a thing?! I'm not quite sure but hey ho)

Thank you all so much for reading, and be sure to leave your desert island picks in the comments!

I have been loving doing this look recently, especially as it's warming up! What's better than a warm toned eye and nude lip?!

First off, I prime my eyes with the Smashbox 24hr shadow primer. This stuff is incredibly and I've been using it religiously for the past couple of years! Then I set this with powder to really lock the base down.

I then use the Morphe 12NB (natural beauty) palette. First off, I use the palest pink shade (top right) and blend it all over the lid with the NYX 17 brush. I then use the bottom right shade which is a gorgeous deep mauve. I start by blending this into the crease before blending it around, to create a halo eyes shape. To add the final glitter centre, I use the 3rd shade in which is a gorgeous gold glitter and the 2nd shade on the 2nd row which is just slightly darker. I add this into the centre with my finger as I find that that gives the best pigment.

I then use a mixture of the L'Oreal baby roll mascara and Sleek full fat lash mascara. This creates a nice dramatic eye whilst still keeping into natural and fluttery (This would also really suit some individual lashes in the outer corner.

To moisturise and prime I use the L'Oreal hydra genius and mix it with the L'Oreal infallible primer to create a glowy base.

Then, I apply the L'Oreal true match foundation over my face in tiny little dots. I know this sounds like major work but it just helps get a really even blend. I blend it using the Spectrum B01 that has 2 sprays of the Mario Badescu rose water spray on it. I then use the L'Oreal true match concealer under my eyes. I then use my beautyblender and the Rimmel stay matte powder to bake under my eyes and along my jawline. I leave this for a couple of minutes and then blend it in with a damp beautyblender, rather than blend away with a brush.

I then fill in my brows using Benefit goof proof brow pencil in the shade 3. Then, to highlight the brow bone I use the shade "virgin" in the original Naked palette.

For the final touches to the face, I use the benefit Rockateur blush and the white glow shade in the Sleek Solstice palette. Finally, I use the Barry M matte me up lip kit in pose, for a gorgeous pinky nude lip!

Thank you so much for reading, and I'll see you all again next week!
